Lead and manage the development of a school strategic plan

• Work with the strategic planning team to analyse the key information and school  performance and governance related issues
• Compile the needs of the school that have to be addressed in the strategic planning process that  encapsulates the core educational values and moral purpose of the school
• Lead and manage the refinement of the school’s vision and mission based on values, ethos and high standards to shape the direction statements tailored to the school specific circumstances and focus

• Analyse and interpret data including inputs from the departments on the historical  operations and identify issues to be addressed in the strategic planning  process for the for shaping  and sustaining of school improvement on a continuum
• Develop a work-plan with planning timeframes and proposed processes
• Implement, monitor and be accountable for all processes involved in shaping the direction of  the school

 A work-plan is developed for the preparation of a strategic planning process 

The school strategic plan specifies realistic goals, objectives, targets, timeframes,  resources and strategies to realise the desired goals and objectives of the school  

A draft strategic plan is developed and presented to the School  Governing Body for review and approval
